The Group Practice Connection helps you serve your associates in a way that eliminates stress. By providing you with tools, templates and resources to help you as a business owner, I set you up for success at each stage of your business.

One of the key elements in this membership is the sense of community. While I am here to support you every step of the way, you will also have peers and colleagues to turn to, learn from, and support with your unique needs and practices.

“This business group has been fantastic, supportive, and a great place to learn and share ideas. Being a business owner can be lonely and having a group of other supportive leaders, who struggle and celebrate the same milestones, is not only validating but a massive opportunity for learning and growth.”

Sonja Braig

“I’m doing so much that it’s easy to drop the ball about other things- the group helps me not have to hold it all in my head or on a list because it’s in the hub or on the list to discuss.

For me personally, I get a lot more out of the mastermind. I’m better in small groups.”

Michelle Rahn

“I'm thankful to be part of the Group Practice Connection!  The material is always my first stop when I need a resource.  The group calls are supportive and relevant to everything we encounter as a GPO, but made easier to handle thanks to this group!”

Merrisa Little

Hi there, I’m Lisa!

Since 2019 I’ve been working intimately with hundreds of Canadian group practice owners.

I had a vision for a group practice since the moment I went to grad school. I never envisioned myself doing private practice alone. I wanted colleagues around me, and a sense of team and community.

I started off in private practice, and quickly filled up my caseload. There was a part of me that felt socially responsible for the clients that were seeking me out, and I didn’t want to leave them hanging or to miss out on services. So I started a group practice with a business partner.

One of the biggest things that I found as I started out as a group practice owner, was that just as private practice was lonely, being a group practice owner was even lonelier. So I started the Group Practice Network (formerly Your Practice Your Way). I wanted to help Canadian therapists start and build a group practice ethically, with good business tools, and a sense of support from others who were in the same boat.

That has led me through two group practices of my own, several launches of a six-week course in how to start a group practice in Canada, and multiple mastermind groups for therapists who had an established group practice, and a thriving, supportive Facebook group.

And through it all, I have paid attention to the advice of lawyers, accountants, HR consultants and other business owners and learned firsthand the strategies they recommended to help therapists run effective businesses that grow each year.

I’ve listened to what group practice owners want.

As I’ve built different offerings, I felt like something was missing. After we finished Ambition Alliance, people fell off and lost connection. Since the masterminds were one year long, I noticed that more people stayed connected, and people found colleagues and friends in the Facebook group. So I knew that I wanted to create a hub where Canadian therapists like you could start and grow their group practice with tools and templates alongside support and camaraderie with other group practice owners.

Join me in The Group Practice Connection!

If you think of all the ways that you can learn about starting or growing your group practice, from applying to schools and trying to get your MBA to the school of hard-knocks and trying to figure everything out on your own. And then you’re doing those things on your own. It doesn’t have to be that way.
